We regret to state that an official announcement has been received from the High Commissioners Office of the Australian Commonwealth, respecting the death of Pte. E.O.W. Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris of Green-bank terrace, Denbigh Mr. Morris came to reside in this district on becoming clerk of the works of Llandyrnog water scheme, and is now engaged on Government work as foreman at Kinmel Military Camp. Mr and Mrs. Morris have 3 sons who at the very beginning of the war sacrificed their civilian positions and gave themselves "For King and Country". The subject of this notice was resident in Australia , and had been so for the last five years.
