Born: Worcester, Worcestershire, England Enlisted: 18-8-1916, Brisbane, Queensland Occupation prior to Enlistment: Farmer 52nd Battalion Australian Infantry Departed Australia from Sydney, N.S.W. 7-10-1916 Killed in Action: 8-6-1917, Belgium Son of Armell and Laura Barley Henry’s bigamous marriage was discovered after his death when both wives applied for the War Widows Pension. After a lengthy investigation, both wives were granted a War Pension. Emily was sent the British War Medal with Clasps, a Memorial Plaque and the brochure of “Where the Australians Rest”.
