Front row: Sgt Holman; 352 Company Sergeant Major (CSM) Ernest Holland of Toowoomba Qld, with two wound stripes (killed in action 14 March 1917 at Bapaume, France); 3624 Sergeant Reginald Rowland of Bundaberg, Qld, (killed in action 26 September 1917 at Polygon Wood, France); 557 Corporal (Cpl) Patrick James (Bob) Bouchier, with one wound stripe. Cpl Bouchier served as 2694 Trooper Bouchier in the 3rd NSW Imperial Bushmen's contingent to the Boer War and is wearing the campaign ribbons of the Queen's and King's South Africa medals.
